Carol Reid has a background in nursing and then undertook a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons), at Deakin University. She worked many years in the child and family services sector and family carer support coordination. Then she moved into project work and undertook a Master of Program Evaluation (University of Melbourne). Her PhD, completed at La Trobe University, examined Trauma-Informed Care in Rural Primary Health Care for Parents. She is now co-located at a rural health service through the rural health academic network to support research capacity building.

Ms Chelsea Sofra's qualifications include a Bachelor of Public Health Promotion (completed 2016, La Trobe University); Bachelor of Youth Work (completed 2022, Victoria University). Ms Sofra lives and works on Yorta Yorta Country in northern Victoria. She is currently the manager of Trauma Informed Services at the Goulburn Valley Centre Against Sexual Assault, after a time of acting manager from 2022. Previous roles have included education for trauma informed services, this included developing and sourcing evidence-informed resources for health service staff to increase awareness and knowledge about the impact of trauma and and develop practice skills in responding to victim/survivors and to reduce barriers for client and patient disclosure. Ms Sofra is passionate about providing equitable, trauma informed therapeutic services to victim survivors of sexual assault, and educating professionals and community to respond to and prevent sexual violence.

Lucinda Aberdeen lives and works on Yorta Yorta Country in the regional town of Shepparton. She has extensive experience as a sociologist designing, conducting, leading and supervising research in areas. Her research orientation is critical interpretive inquiry using decolonising and collaborative, multidisciplinary and mixed methods approaches which seek to understand and address social disadvantage and inequality in their many discriminatory forms. In her current role as a Senior Research Fellow with the University of Melbourne, Department of Rural Health she is engaged in research into strategies to improve access and equity to regional health care through collaborative engagement with community and industry partners.
